This was one of my favorite projects so far. I really liked being able to make my project look real and to animate it. I don’t think that we had the time to really make our objects look as well as I would like, but despite the time I made things look really well. It took me a long time to get things just right. I spent hours doing just trial and error experiments to get things as really as I could and even then some of the textures didn’t look right because of certain quarks with the program. For example the grass; it still doesn’t look like grass even though I spent hours trying to get it to look realistic. I finally got it to look similar when a quark in the program made it change somehow. Now it looks yellow when originally it looked green. As far as the other textures, I had to open most of them in Photoshop, change them then reapply then till they looked right. It also took several hours of trial and error to get the animations right. I had to change, add, and turn off lights to get it to look just right. It was also a learning process to get the camera movements, and angles just right. I think that they turned out as well as can be expected with the time constraint. The renderings look the best and I really like those, and over all every thing turned out just how I wanted it to.

ENDS170 Project 2

I really like the way the image turned out. First the reason why the angle is so high is because I didn’t want to place the angle of the image lower because of the size of my building and the different rooms that I wanted to portray. I placed the people proportionally to the angle of the building and tried to make it look as good as I could. I also placed the art on the walls for more looks and quality.

My drawing process wasn’t all that hard, however figuring out what was the best direction and shape to make the people so that they would be proportional to the image. And then to get the pictures in there that would also be proportional to the image. Then I placed the grass in the image as the final touch to it and give it a slight photo realistic look.

As far as photo imaging program I love it. I love the way it works and the way I can manipulate things in different ways. I’ve been teaching myself Photoshop since I was in high school but this class has taught me more things that will allow me to do what I will with this program. It is also so easy to use and if you know how to look through menus then you can basically figure out the basics of this program and then the rest is in the help menu.

ENDS170 Project 1

My design is of a small private gallery. I built it small for the fact that it is to be used by one person or family to house their art, sculptures or paintings. There is an exterior gallery on the 3rd floor and two more galleries on the first floor. I have two bathrooms female, and male, a reception area and a break room on the second story for anyone who may work there. I also have a storage area in the back of the building for the storage of paintings.

My modeling process was fairly straight forward. I started with the walls and the basics, along with the ceilings with a little help from you. I just kept working and changing things until it started to become the building that I was trying to build. I put the windows in strategic places and the roof, furniture, and windows were the final things that I placed in my building.

As far as Revit goes I like the way it works for orthogonal buildings but for angled walls and anything that isn’t straight it is very difficult to work with. Another thing that was hard to do is if you don’t know the program really well you have a hard time getting things finished in it. However I like it because it makes things a lot easier as far as logistics go. You can create families and categories really well and compared to AutoCAD I would definitely use it more. Also even though it’s hard to use when you don’t know the program once you learn it’s really simple.
